INTRODUCTION

Welcome Aaron's Aid Online Christian Counseling founded in 2002 by Pastor Mark Thompson as an extended outreach of his local
counseling ministry. Building upon a Biblical foundation in Systematic Theology, “Pastor Mark”  has helped many individuals to receive
both physical and inner healing. His approach is "holistic”, meaning that he believes that true healing always affects the “whole being”
- body, soul, and spirit. Unlike many so-called holistic remedies in use today, the roots of this unique ministry do not connect ancient 

mysticism to new age philosophy. It relies instead on sound Biblical doctrine and an experiential personal faith in God.

Pastor Mark is an ordained minister and a certified counselor specializing in family and marriage, crisis intervention, and substance
abuse recovery. He has experience helping people overcome addictive, compulsive disorders, and self esteem issues. He believes
that God wants to heal, that God can absolutely heal, and that God will completely heal our whole being - body, soul, and spirit, if
only we let Him.


As he gained a better understanding of the then relatively new frontier, he became aware of the millions of people searching the
Internet for self-improvement, guidance, and mentoring. He noticed too, how few websites promote any substantial remedy for
these important things. Many great ideas don’t necessarily have mass appeal. Acting as a step of faith that God has cast the vision,
he opened this site as is, to attract whoever might be interested in this type of offer.

His offer is this: request personal counseling from Pastor Mark. Don’t disqualify yourself because you didn’t see any specific
mention of your particular need. Don’t put God in a box. Trust He will use this ministry to deliver YOUR healing, whatever that may be.


QUALIFICATIONS

As stated, Pastor Mark deals with the whole being and will endeavor to treat you completely so that soon you can honestly say
that you are free indeed! Pastor Mark began his ministry in 1978 and has extensive experience. Since his foundation is Biblical,
throughout your sessions Pastor Mark will show the Scriptural basis for his advice. He is a certified Marriage & Family Counselor
with credentials form the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). He is also a graduate of Life Pacific College
with degrees in Pastoral Ministries and Theology. He served as pastor in three congregations 1980 – 2002. He has been a
full-time counselor since.


PHILOSOPHY of MINISTRY

Regarding treatment, he is firm in his conviction that competent counsel can remedy most debility within six to ten hourly
(50-minute) sessions. Sadly, there are too many exploitative counselors, psychologists, and mental health “experts” who
tend to try to perpetuate their counseling relationships for job security. Such tend to perpetuate the counselor - client relationship,

needlessly. The majority of services are being offered “pro-Bono” (for free). So obviously, Pastor Mark is not going to engage you
beyond the necessary time. Therefore, before he agrees to counsel anyone, he establishes with them a specific time-line. You
will know beforehand exactly where he hopes to go, and how long he anticipates the journey to take.


This is good for two reasons:

  • First, it allows the establishment of a goal. Goals help us by giving us a specific target. If we don’t know exactly what we’re
       aiming at, how will we know when we have hit it?  Creating a fixed date for when the counseling is scheduled to end also
       enables us to gauge progress. As we     move closer to the target date, we know whether or not we need to adjust the pace.
       This helps us to remain focused and not waste time discussing issues that have little or no relevance.
  • The other advantage to having a good time-line is to create an ever increasing level of hope. When you plan a favorite event
        and you see that the day is approaching, your level of excitement grows with your anticipation of the joy and good feelings
        you hope you are soon to experience.


Time is life’s only non-renewable commodity. Time wasted is, well - just wasted.
